US Embassy in Afghanistan warns of 'imminent attack' - The Hill
The U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan, on Monday issued an emergency bulletin saying that it had received "credible reports of an imminent attack" within the next 48 hours.
"During this period of heightened threat, the U.S. Embassy strongly urges U.S. citizens to exercise extreme caution if moving around the city," the embassy said in its message.
The embassy's statement said that there are no additional details on targets, timing or method of any planned attack in the Afghan capital, but suggested U.S. citizens may consider leaving the country.
The State Department issued a travel warning earlier this month to discourage U.S. citizens from going to the country, given that "the security situation in Afghanistan is extremely unstable." - Read More at thehill
