New Hampshire Primary: Trump And Sanders Win Big; Kasich Second

Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders won clear, early and decisive victories in the New Hampshire primary Tuesday night.

Trump beat the GOP field by double-digits. He got 35 percent of the vote, well ahead of surprise second-place finisher John Kasich, who pulled in 16 percent with 87 percent of precincts reporting. Kasich was followed by Ted Cruz at 12 percent, Jeb Bush at 11 percent and Marco Rubio who, after a poor debate performance Saturday, faded to fifth just shy of 11 percent.

Sanders walloped Clinton, beating her by 22 points, 68 to 38 percent with 88 percent of precincts reporting. His victory was fueled by young voters who went overwhelmingly to Sanders.

It was a stunning blow to the former secretary of state, who won New Hampshire in her 2008 primary race against Barack Obama. Clinton, though, finished some 20,000 votes short of her 2008 vote total. The Clinton campaign dismissed the potential results in the state in the run-up to the primary, saying that Sanders was from a neighboring state. - Read More at the NPR
