Afghanistan in 2016: Still vital interests, still reasons for hope - brookings.edu

“Afghanistan remains a crucial country,” Brookings scholar Vanda Felbab-Brown said at a recent event, “one in which we have made a commitment and where we also raise tremendous hope among the Afghan people.
