President Ghani: Freedom of speech has to be used for peaceful coexistence and bringing the religions together

Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, condemns in strongest possible terms the republishing of the Prophet Mohammad’s (PBUH) caricature by Charlie Hebdo Magazine, and describes it as great insult to the Holy Religion of Islam and to the Muslim Ummah.

On behalf of the Afghan Muslim Nation, President Ghani condemned this disgracing act, and said that blasphemy is utterly an irresponsible act.

President insisted that freedom of speech has to be used for peaceful coexistence and bringing the religions together.

“For years Afghanistan has, more than any other countries, been suffering from war and violence. Thus, this country, better than others, feels the need for peaceful coexistence among the entire nations of the world”, stated President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.   Read at President Ghani condemned this disgracing act
