Of all the marvelous places in the world I have spent time in..... Afghanistan is one of my favorites. The inhabitants are some of the most hospitable I have ever encountered. The country has a certain mysterious charm about it. This 1968 Article peaked my interest and in 1976 I made the trip. Enjoy -- Afghanistan CROSSROAD OF CONQUERORS
