Stocks, oil try to recoup losses but far from past peaks

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- A drum-beat of better economic data, including a recent report showing the most job growth in three years, has helped stocks, oil and copper recover much of their crisis losses -- though they're still far from peaks reached in 2007-2008.
