Ambassador Eikenberry: Good morning Dr. Adrak, Special Representative di Mistura, Ambassador Crosbie, other diplomats, and most importantly, to our brave Afghan deminers, and ladies and gentlemen.

This is a significant day for many reasons. First, we are recognizing the importance of humanitarian demining, clearing unexploded ordnance, bringing vital land back into productive use, and helping those who have fallen victim to these terrible devices.
