President Ghani Meets US Congress Delegation - bakhtarnews

Monday November 24, 2014 - Kabul (BNA) Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan met with US Congress delegation led by Rab Witman, representative of Weaponry Services Committee yesterday.  According to presidential press office to BNA, during the meeting held at the Presidential Palace, both-sides discussed on bilateral relations between the two countries in various sectors particularly, funding and equipping Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) and enduring commitment of US to Afghanistan.  The US Congress delegation praised President Ghani and Afghanistan’s new government for his efforts and wisely leadership, assuring of US enduring commitment to government and the people of Afghanistan. In return, President Ghani while hinting related to capabilities of ANSF praised US for its cooperation with Afghanistan towards strengthening ANSF and sacrifices of the US soldiers in Afghanistan, stressing on further extension of relations between the two countries.  More
