6.2-magnitude quake strikes near Mexican coast --- MEXICO CITY — The U.S. Geological Survey says a 6.2-magnitude earthquake has hit the Sea of Cortez between the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula and mainland Mexico. There were no immediate reports of damage. -- The USGS says the quake had a depth of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) and its epicenter was 75 miles (121 kilometers) west-southwest of El Dorado, Mexico. -- It struck at 7:40 p.m. local time on Tuesday. - More, Associated Press, Washingtonpost
