Poll: Has Afghanistan's reconstruction been worth the cost? --- The cost of reconstruction in Afghanistan has surpassed the total spent under the Marshall Plan in post-war Europe, a US government report has revealed. Read our news report here. -- The report states: "The [Marshall] Plan has been called 'one of the most successful long-term projects in American foreign policy.'
