SAARC Foreign Ministers Meet On Eve Of Bhutan Summit
Formed in 1985, SAARC originally consisted of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Maldives. Afghanistan joined as its eighth member in 2007. China, Iran, European Union, Japan, South Korea, the United States and Mauritius have observer status while Australia and Burma were included as observers for the Bhutan summit.
