Despite the international community involvement and the hundreds of billions of dollars spent on military campaigns over the last 8 years to bring stability to the region, the situation is far from normal. After 30 years of war and hostilities, the citizens of Afghanistan still face war, corruption, nepotism, and an ineffective and incompetent leadership whose authority doesn't stretch beyond the few square kilometres of the capital city Kabul.
