Obama admin not backing Karzai's re-election bid

WASHINGTON (PAN): The Obama administration is not supporting Hamid Karzai in his reelection bid in the forthcoming presidential polls, top US officials said Monday.

Instead the administration is taking necessary steps to make sure there is a level playing field for the opposition candidates and Karzai does not take advantage of incumbency.
