Intelligence chief adds safeguards after wrongful intercepts

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- U.S. intelligence officials said Thursday that they have added safeguards to prevent the government from unlawfully spying on U.S. citizens after a routine check of the system "detected issues that raised concerns."
