Obama telephones Afghan president

KABUL, Afghanistan: President Barack Obama telephoned Hamid Karzai, the Afghan president, on Thursday to share the main elements of the American strategic review of policy in Afghanistan and the war on Islamic militants, a statement from the presidential palace here said.
