Stocks Rally as Americans Vote

Wall Street had its largest Election Day rally in 24 years as millions of American voters went to the polls.

At the close, the Dow Jones industrial average was up 3.2 percent, or about 305 points. The broader Standard & Poor’s 500-stock index was up 4 percent, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq was up 3 percent.
